Pete Fisher, President

Pete Fisher is uniquely equipped to navigate the entertainment industry with his 30+ year career in music, based primarily in Nashville. Pete parlayed an early career as a music publisher, artist manager, Grammy-nominated Executive Producer for “Best Music Film”, and CEO of an industry-leading trade association to be regarded as a highly knowledgeable and well-connected organizational visionary.

Pete has a track record of planning and leading successful turnarounds, including steering the 53rd Annual ACM Awards just 6 months following the mass shooting in Las Vegas (as CEO of ACM); resurrecting/transforming an almost 100-year old institution into a highly-relevant, dynamic organization (Grand Ole Opry); leading the way to recover, restore and preserve an historic building and operations after 500-year flood (The Grand Ole Opry House).

Most recently as Chief Executive Officer of the Academy of Country Music in Encino, California, Pete led finance operations, contract negotiations, events, marketing, content development, creative services, membership, awards, and strategic partnerships. Pete championed the 53rd Annual ACM Awards in Las Vegas only 6 months after the mass shooting. Pete was Executive Producer for the 52nd, 53rd and 54th ACM Awards (CBS) – one of the top 3 music award shows – and Executive Producer for ACM honors in 2017 (CBS) in partnership with dick clark productions.

Earlier in his career, Pete joined Warner/Reprise Records, Warnersongs (formerly Warner/Elektra/Asylum Music) as Director of Creative Services where they achieved several #1 hits including BMI Song Of The Year “She’s In Love With The Boy” in 1991. Moving his career along, he connected with Creative Trust as VP of their Country Division, and later partnered to form Fisher-Raines Entertainment, representing several artists.

Pete earned his BS in Recording Industry Management at Middle Tennessee State University. Pete attended Harvard Business School for an Executive Education series in Managing Brand Meaning. Knowing that music and entertainment would be his lifelong career, Pete studied undergraduate courses in Music Education, trumpet performance, and Mass Communication at Towson University.

Ever the philanthropist, Pete connects charities with celebrities/artists for philanthropic opportunities and raised millions of dollars for cause-related initiatives and charities (MusiCares, Music Heals International, J/P HRO, ACM Lifting Lives, The Store). Pete’s past and present board affiliations and leadership commitments are numerous and include the Academy of Country Music, Leadership Music, The Recording Academy (NARAS), Belmont University’s CURB College of Entertainment & Music Business, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and MTSU College of Media & Entertainment. Pete was made a prestigious American Master by the Berklee College of Music. He was presented with an “Inspiration Award” at Inspire Nashville and “Distinguished Alumnus” from MTSU.

Pete and his wife, Hope, reside in Brentwood, Tennessee and they have two sons, Sean and Chris. Hobbies include hiking, running, traveling, music and time with family and friends.
